Got CBD Questions?

FAQs

First of all, there are no dumb questions when it comes to CBD. There are a lot of misconceptions about what it is and the benefits to our body. The following are many of the questions we get asked the most, and our best attempt to answer them. Ultimately, you should always consult a medical doctor before using CBD oil.

What is CBD?

Chances are good that if you are on this website, you probably have a basic knowledge of CBD.

CBD stands for cannabidiol which is one of the 130+ cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. It is a non-psychoactive component of the cannabis plant, and is considered a natural anti-inflamitory. Researchers are currently studying the effects of CBD on many conditions like chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, arthritis, epilepsy, dimentia and more. And since it is a natural oil from the plant, it is actually very safe to use.

How is GMF CBD oil Manufactured?

Our hemp is grown in the high desert of Central Oregon. Arguably the best region to grow hemp. Our hemp biomass goes through an extraction process using ethanol. The oil is separated from the ethanol, and fats, lipids, waxes and other impurities are removed. The CBD crude oil goes through distillation, and that CBD distillate is what we use in our tinctures. You are left with a cannabinoid rich oil that tastes great.

How do I know which CBD Dose is right for me?

Our CBD oil tinctures are taken orally. Many CBD brands charge ridiculous prices for very low CBD potency. We aren’t in this just to make money, but to actually help people. That is why we don’t even offer tincture bottles less than 1000mg. We have a 1000mg CBD tincture that offers 33mg CBD per serving, and a 2000mg tincture at 66mg per serving. The 2000mg tincture is the highest full spectrum dose we could make, and still stay under the legal limit of 0.3% THC. Everyone’s body will react differently because we all have a unique endocannabinoid system. If you are just starting out, you may want to start with the 1000mg tincture.

Will the CBD make me feel weird?

Negative. CBD is a natural concentrated oil that comes straight from the hemp plant. It is not like other prescriptions where there is a concern with overdosing. The CBD oil should work without any intoxicating effects.

Are Green Method Farms products legal?

Yes. Under the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill, commercial cultivation of industrial hemp was legalized under certain regulations. Although hemp and marijuana are technically variants of the cannabis plant, our hemp genetics are bred specifically to be high in CBD and low in THC, and fit within those regulations under the farm bill. Each of our CBD products have been lab tested at less than 0.3% THC which is the legal limit in all 50 states.

Have your CBD oils been tested in a lab for potency?

Yes. Our CBD oil has been lab tested for potency so you can be sure that the doses written on the bottle are accurate. In fact, you can scan the QR code on the bottle to see the actual lab results. In addition, our products have been tested (and passed) for pesticides & solvents.

Are your CBD Tinctures THC Free?

Technically no. Our CBD oil is considered ‘full spectrum’ which means all the cannabinoids were extracted from the whole plant. When brands claim “THC Free” they typically are just introducing CBD isolate to the oil which means they are missing out on the other 130+ cannabinoids which can be very beneficial to human health. We did not want to comprimise the positive effects of our oil, so there may still be trace amounts of THC present in our oil.

Will I fail a drug test if I use Green Method Farms CBD oil?

Because our CBD oil is ‘full spectrum’ it may contain trace amounts of THC which could result in a positive test result when screening urine and blood specimens. If you are subject to random drug tests for your job, you may want to use our CBD isolate instead which is THC free.
